Paris, Crepes, and Other Adventures

Bonjour! I went to Paris for the weekend and had an incredible experience. It was my second time going, which was really nice because I didn’t feel the same pressure to check off all the main tourist attractions from my list. If you only have a few days in this gorgeous and busy city here are some places I would recommend:

Shakespeare and Company is a cute and very famous book store right off the water front.

Notre Dame will take your breath away. It is a medieval Catholic cathedral and one of the best examples of French Gothic architecture.

The Eiffel Tower gives you a stunning view of the city and is great exercise if you choose to climb the first two levels! There is an amazing crepe place nearby that is a must for afterwards.

Le Bon Marché is the oldest department store and a magical place for anyone who likes to shop.

The Louvre, known for housing the Mona Lisa, is the world’s largest museum. Because of this it can feel very overwhelming, so I would do some research ahead of time and choose a few exhibits that you would like to tackle.

The Basilica of the Sacré-Coeur is resting on the top of Montmartre, which is the highest point in the city. The hike up the hill is well worth the view!

I spent most of the weekend alternating between tourist destinations and simply wandering the city. My favorite part about Paris is people watching and getting lost in all of the different districts. What is your favorite spot in Paris?
